The stations can be used for order picking, stock replenishment and inventory checking. The station consists of a ramp, screen and various scanners that allow operators to present the robots with bins and trays for easy, ergonomic picking of up to 400 lines per hour.
The stations improve the working environment for operators by reducing the need to walk several miles per day. Operators can stand in one place while our Skypod ® robots move from shelf to station with the items needed for each order.
From the height of bins and screens to the padded foot rests, everything has been designed to reduce strain and fatigue on operators.

Skypod robots can climb up to 12 meters (39 feet) high, allowing you to utilize every inch of storage space from floor to ceiling. Store more items in your warehouse by building instead of climbing out.
The order conveyors are located next to our stations and have four locations where order preparation bins are moved as orders are prepared. The order fulfillment process is streamlined by conveyors that automatically insert and remove order preparation bins as operators prepare orders.

In the Skypod system, each pick and fill station can fulfill up to four orders at a time through integration with an order mover. This capability significantly increases the order fulfillment capacity of each station, enabling a more efficient and productive workflow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Operators prepare orders using the intelligent Put-to-Light system, which assists and directs which fulfillment container to place the item in. Once all items in the order have been placed in the preparation container, the operator presses a button to send the order to the next phase of the order fulfillment process.

The Bin interface automates the loading and unloading of bins and trays from the Skypod system. This allows for easy replenishment of the system with new stock or buffering of prepared orders before they are shipped from the warehouse.
This type of station provides a constant flow of up to 320 containers or trays per hour and connects to a conveyor system that leads to the remaining phases of the order fulfillment process.
